My old refrigerator was 20 years old. I cannot believe how wonderful my new 36 inch Wide French Door Refrigerator works. It is not only beautiful, but very convenient and spacious. I love the double doors and big pull out tray. My cold cut tray fit in it perfectly for Thanksgiving! My husband and I love the freezer. We can see almost everything just by opening the drawer.

The refrigerator itself is great no issue. Keeps my food cold and my frozen foods frozen. The features to me are a problem. I can't get the water from the water dispenser to come out faster. It's a slow painful process. The ice machine always gets jammed. I also can't open the right French door while getting ice or water. Why? I've had 2 different brands that allow you to open the right French door while getting water or ice. Maybe I'm missing something. I don't know. I'm just disappointed since this was considered an upgrade for us and I can't return or exchange it.

This fridge is so beautiful inside and out. It also has so many shelves that I can adjust to what whatever I need to add in the fridge. I also love how easy it is to clean and how the lighting is inside. The tech features are also nice and easy to understand.

I love the sleek look of this refrigerator, it's perfect for us. The ice machine is fantastic, the ice comes out at a very good rate, the water comes out at a great rate as well. The temperature controls are easy to use and are very accurate. Love all the room inside.

It works, frame twisted and had to use 3/8 in shims on back right of unit to make level. Floors were checked and are level. Fridge is noisy even after the repairs were done. So noisy I can here it 20 feet away around a corner. Never owned one this load. It's annoying.

It's pretty. It's working. It's brand new. The real review should take place a year + down the road. After one month of ownership, I'm overall happy. The ice and water through the door takes up way more fridge space than I was prepared for. Also there isn't much space in the door storage where I'd typically store the condiments.

It kind of interesting to get use to, after 35 years, of side by sides. The refrigerator has great features. Easy to use and set up. Lots of space for the goodies. Love the pull out tray, with a flip lid.. However it need a soda rack..or large bottle holder.

The compressor runs for a few hours straight and shuts off for a few minutes and then turns back on. It was much noisier than any fridge we have ever had. We called customer service and they sent a guy to inspect the fridge. He said that it's normal for the compressor to run so much on this model. He also said that ours was very quiet. All my friends and family comment on how noisy the fridge is. I would not have bought it if I knew how noisy it would be.

Our family loves this refrigerator. Hear are a few things that make it so great for us. The lowest drawer inside the refrigerator is wonderful for storing all those little items that always got lost in our older model. Also when opened the refrigerator is so full of bright light we can see everything in there. The water filter is in a place that makes it so very easy to change. The freezer is divided in such a way that it is easy to organize and find what is needed. The control panel, just above the ice and water levers, let us know just which features are being used. Also, we love the fact that when getting ice or water the area is automatically lighted and as soon as the glass is removed the light goes out. As you can tell we really love this refrigerator.

It gets too cold - temperature setting should be 38 degrees however I've had to set at 44 degrees and freezer at 3 degrees when it needs to be 0 or 32 degrees. Tech said all is good how's that possible?
And the ice maker vent gets too cold so the shelf next to it is not useful unless you want frozen items in the fridge

This refrigerator was delivered to me about 2 months ago. Shortly thereafter I began monitoring the temperatures within the refrigerator compartment and the freezer compartment. Even though I set the unit on the very lowest option for each compartment (33F for refrigerator, 0F for freezer), the unit was not achieving those temperatures (or even close to those temperatures) to my satisfaction. I know the settings are only approximate, but the actual temperatures should at least be close. The top part of the refrigerator compartment never reaches below 44-45 degrees F. The bottom shelf hangs around 37-38. (Yes, I know that is within an acceptable range for refrigerated food--but these temps are not close to matching what is expected by the setting.) The freezer is always "ok," but fluctuates from below -2F to as high as 8 F. The drawers in the refrigerator actually do achieve low temperatures consistent with the 33F setting--maybe they trap the cold air. Mind you, all of this is with "pampering" the situation--i.e., checking the temp only at times when the unit has been closed for a significant time (like first thing in the morning), not putting warm things in the refrigerator, etc. I've had three appointments where certified Whirlpool technicians have come out and either replaced a part or poked around and found some frost to knock off inside a blower vent, hoping that was the problem. However, the problem persists. I have contacted my vendor and explained that I am not interested in scheduling any more technician visits and that I want to return/trade my refrigerator. She told me she contacted Whirlpool and I am waiting to hear. That was two days ago, so we'll see if we can work this out.

Although it was no more than 6-7 years ago, it would have cost over $1300.00 to repair.After looking in reliability, I chose the Whirlpool. I bought this refrigerator about a month ago. Reading a lot of reviews about various refrigerators there was a many horror stories about various makes and models. From the moment I plugged this one in I have been completely satisfied. The refrigerator and freezer temperatures were correct after a couple hours. It started making ice a short time later and more than enough for what the average person would use. Also the compressor and electric fans are very quiet. All said a good purchase!

I really like how much space there is and how well organized the space is set up but the ice maker gets clogged a lot which once you clear it, ice goes everywhere. My other complaint is a smell that someone is coming out to look at. It smells like something has gone bad in the refrigerator.
